Chi Alpha has been busy meeting many of these new Bobcats, treating them to a popsicle, signing them up for a small group, and answering any questions they may have. Pray with us that these new students will be eager to find a Christian community like Chi Alpha when classes kickoff in August.

Throughout the summer we have enjoyed intimate times of Bible study on Tuesday nights for those remaining in San Marcos for work or classes. We are enjoying a study on the book of James. Each of our times together have been full of laughter and rich discussion.

Summers within the Herman household are typically packed with several camps and conferences. This past week, Emily participated in her 6th camp where she has attended as a camper or volunteer worker. She has enjoyed making new friendships, renewing old connections, and being challenged spiritually. Between camps, she does cherish the days she gets to sleep in. This next week we will head to St. Louis where Emily will compete in the National Fine Arts Festival. Pray for her as she competes in 5 categories. She would also invite you to pray the summer not fly by so quickly.
